Everything You Need to Know About JAMB 2026 — Your Questions, Answered

Let me be straightforward with you JAMB is not something to fear. It is something to prepare for. And there is a big difference between the two.

The Joint Admissions and Matriculation Board (JAMB) is the gateway to university education in Nigeria. Every year, hundreds of thousands of students sit for the Unified Tertiary Matriculation Examination (UTME), all chasing one goal securing admission into their dream institution.

Now, here is what I always tell my students: understanding JAMB starts before you ever enter the exam hall.

You need to know your subject combination  because not every course accepts every subject. You need to understand the cut-off marks  because different schools have different benchmarks. And most importantly, you need to practice with past questions because JAMB loves to repeat patterns.

For parents, your role is just as important. Encourage consistency over cramming. A student who reads one hour daily for three months will always outperform one who reads ten hours the night before.

On this page, you will find everything broken down clearly  registration steps, subject combinations, preparation tips, recommended resources, and the latest JAMB updates and WAEC, NECO, NABTEB.

Think of this as your classroom. No rush, no confusion  just clear, practical guidance to help your child or yourself walk into that exam hall with confidence.
